Job Title: PSR – Imaging Scheduler Department: Imaging Essential Job functions Greets patients, customers and family in person and by phone in a courteous and timely manner. Ensures patient arrival according to schedule and updates patient arrival time when necessary. Proficient knowledge and understanding of insurance. Collection of patient co-pays and outstanding balances. Offers and assists patients with questionnaires dependent on procedure. (CT, Mammo, MRI, Dexa.) Compliance with all organization and department policies, procedures and standards. Works to resolve all customer issues regardless of the source of the problem by determining and mobilizing the resources required to address the concern. Schedules and reschedules all radiology exams as requested and in accordance to department protocol, advising patients of pre-exam prep, if needed Observes strict confidentiality in all phases of operations according to HIPAA guidelines. Maintains reception work area without food in the public's view. Maintains receptionist and patient waiting areas clear of unnecessary clutter and debris Stock reception area with needed supplies. Maintains a consistent level of productivity. Organizes tasks in an efficient manner. Completes proper documentation for film / CD dispensing. Communicates proactively with provider offices, technologists, and leadership General Job functions: Demonstrates the ability to set goals, assign priorities, anticipate problems, and achieve results, schedules and uses time efficiently, accepts full responsibility for projects and duties assigned, completes assignments on time. Maintains a professional appearance and conduct in accordance with organization’s standards of conduct. Maintains a neat and professional work environment in accordance with departmental and/or organizational policies. Adheres to all Summit Medical Group polices and procedures, including, but not limited to Attendance & Tardiness (HR-102), Meal and Other Breaks Policy (HR-108), Standards of Conduct (HR-116), Working Hours and Overtime (HR-109) Attends and participates in all educational and training events, departmental meetings, employee forums, committees or meetings, as appropriate. Prints Medicare ABN, or other waivers, as necessary. Ability to be flexible with lunches and break periods.
