The Division of Youth Safety and Permanency, Child Welfare Program is seeking multiple Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist's in Boise, Idaho. Successful candidates must be able to work autonomously and within teams while gaining extensive knowledge of Child and Family Services activities, programs, and policies and must display reliability, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, effective business writing skills, a high level of professionalism, and an exceptional ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks; punctuality and dependability are key for this position. If you have previously applied for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist and wish to be considered for the current vacancy, you must reapply under this announcement. Previous scores will not be used. IMPORTANT: Incumbents will be required to participate in the Child Welfare Academy in order to learn Idaho child welfare practices and standards and complete Child Welfare Academy assignments. During the probationary period, incumbents carry a reduced child welfare caseload under the guidance of child welfare supervisors or designated experienced child welfare social workers to gain knowledge and expertise necessary to provide professional child welfare services to children and families who are subjects of child abuse or neglect. Some travel will be required. The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.
