About The Position

Key Responsibilities Perform testing, repair, and certification of pressure relief valves in compliance with API, NBIC, ASME, and customer specifications. Conduct incoming inspection and document valve condition, serial numbers, set pressures, and as found data. Operate valve testing equipment including bench testers, and calibration tools. Tear down, clean, inspect, and rebuild valves including spring loaded, pilot operated, thermal, and tank/vessel relief valves. Set valve pressures accurately and confirm as left test results meet regulatory tolerances. Complete all required documentation, test reports, tags, and certifications. Follow strict shop safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with inventory of parts and repair kits. Provide field service support at customer locations when required. Communicate effectively with service managers, QC inspectors, and customers on job status, findings, and recommendations. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification preferred. 1–3+ years of experience in valve repair, industrial maintenance, or related roles (PRV experience strongly preferred). Familiarity with API 526, API 527, API 576, NBIC requirements, and plant safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and service bulletins. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop or field environments. Valid driver’s license; ability to travel locally as needed. TWIC or other site access credentials are a plus. Preferred Skills Experience repairing brands such as Crosby, Consolidated, Farris, Taylor, Anderson Greenwood, etc. Knowledge of shop calibration standards and quality control processes. Ability to weld, machine, or perform light fabrication is a bonus. Prior experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, or industrial service shops. What We Offer
