About The Position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Provider Relations Specialist in the Houston area who will be responsible for field and office activities in providing education and supporting the IPA’s provider network. The Provider Relations Specialist will be working with contracted providers on managed care operations and ensure compliance with IPA and Health Plan standards. This is an in-person role that requires some travel in San Francisco and San Mateo County. Please see below for details. Requirements

  • Must always have and maintain a reliable source of transportation
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in provider network scope of services
  • Strong understanding of Managed Care Operations
  • Minimum of 2 years' customer service, provider services or relevant work experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with providers, serving as their primary point of contact through routine in-person visits, emails, or phone calls
  • Conduct regular outreach, site visits, and training sessions to ensure engagement
  • Collaborate with Internal Departments to ensure Provider Inquiries are resolved in a timely and effective manner
  • Educate providers on company procedures, updates, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor Provider Performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support provider onboarding by hosting training sessions with instructions and answering questions
  • Other duties as assigned
