About The Position

The Physician Liaison serves as the primary relationship-builder between the organization and referring physicians, clinics, and provider offices. This role focuses on strengthening referral networks, supporting physician satisfaction, educating providers on services and clinical capabilities, and serving as a communication bridge to ensure seamless coordination of care and business alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience in physician relations, healthcare marketing, provider outreach, or related healthcare roles.
  • Understanding of healthcare operations, referral processes, and provider workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain long-term professional relationships.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and referral management platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to physician offices.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hospital or ambulatory surgery center operations (preferred).
  • Experience working with physicians and clinical staff (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills (preferred).
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze referral trends (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, practice managers, and clinical staff.
  • Act as the main point of contact for referring providers regarding services, referral processes, and operational questions.
  • Educate physician offices on available services, new programs, technologies, and clinical offerings.
  • Support referral growth initiatives by identifying opportunities, tracking referral patterns, and addressing barriers.
  • Coordinate physician onboarding and education related to referral systems, workflows, or clinical pathways.
  • Respond to physician concerns or service issues and collaborate internally to resolve them promptly.
  • Conduct regular outreach visits to physician offices and document interactions.
  • Assist leadership with market intelligence, competitor insights, and physician feedback.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to align physician needs with organizational goals.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards.
