Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of work experience in an office environment.
  • Ability to begin work at 7:30 a.m. or be required to work until 5:00 p.m. (rotating basis)
  • Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months / 5,500 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a CRT Operator position)
  • Successful completion of a typing test administered by Human Resources within the past 12 months with a typing speed of 40 correct words per minute (minimum of 90% accuracy) (test waived if candidate currently holds a position that requires at least 40 correct words per minute.)

Responsibilities

  • Responds to written and telephone inquiries, using proper etiquette, from providers regarding their records and network agreements
  • Responds to provider questions, including specialty agreements and W-9 information
  • Establishes electronic funds transfers (EFT) records when appropriate
  • Establishes and maintains departmental records and files, including initial credentialing and business or provider updates
  • Researches and resolves inquiries by accessing the provider, National Provider File (NPF), and other resources
  • Processes claims assigned to the Provider Records worklist
  • Operates office equipment which may include personal computer, photocopier, scanner, calculator, fax, etc.
