We have an exciting opening for a Prototype/General Machinist in Elyria, OH. This position performs manual and CNC machining operations of a diverse and difficult nature to manufacture, rework, and/or machine new product

Requirements

Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
5+ years of experience in similar role operating mills, lathes, and bridgeports.
Proficient in CAD software and CAD/CAM tools.
Able to read, edit, and write G and M Code.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Analytical ability.

Responsibilities

Operate mills, lathes and bridgeports. Many specialty items.
Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
Manufacture fixtures.
Perform inspection using precision measuring instruments.
Interface with engineering and manufacturing departments.
Must set up and operate all machines to produce parts.
Often must hold very close tolerances.
Must determine and organize operations, procedures and sequences, select tooling, methods and standard feeds and speeds.
Operates under minimum supervision and trains others when requested.
Ability to manage priorities and workload independently.
Maintains a neat-clean area.
Also, maintains the highest quality quantity, throughput, safety, cost reduction, and customer service continuously.
