About The Position
ORBIS is hiring a Proto sewing operator. In this position, you’ll be responsible for assembling, sewing and finishing components for industrial applications. This is your chance to grow with a family-owned company that values safety, teamwork, and career development.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing sewing machines
- Able to thread and replace sewing needles
- Able to follow prints to sewing the design.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machine to assembly and stitch materials for industrial applications
- Able to sew a straight line by following prints and design specifications to ensure precise sewing and assembly
- Review and understand prototype assembly instructions, diagrams and specification to sew prototypes
- Provide feedback on possible design improvements or corrections for samples and prototypes
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all stitched products meet manufacturing standards
- Perform minor maintenance of sewing machines, such as threading and replacing needles
- Able to adjust machine settings as needed to accommodate different materials and designs
- Other duties as assigned.
