About The Position

We are seeking a Protein Purification Scientist to support purification, analytical testing, and day‑to‑day laboratory operations. This role involves hands‑on work with advanced purification technologies, strong documentation practices, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality scientific outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or related field) with 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • OR MS/PhD in a life science discipline with up to 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Hands‑on experience with protein purification and analytical instrumentation
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, adaptable, and quality‑focused
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques and follow standard procedures
  • Commitment to accurate documentation, teamwork, and productivity

Responsibilities

  • Perform protein purification using chromatography‑based techniques
  • Prepare and formulate buffers and reagents
  • Execute column packing and operation
  • Conduct purification and analysis using HPLC, SEC, Protein A (ProA) systems
  • Perform Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) for concentration and buffer exchange
  • Manage samples, including aliquot preparation and tracking
  • Support laboratory operations, including: Freezer and refrigerator inventory management
  • Sample disposal and lab waste handling
  • Equipment cleaning, storage, and preparation for maintenance (e.g., HPLC, ÄKTA systems)
  • Buffer ordering and inventory control
  • Maintain accurate records and support compliant laboratory documentation
