In 2021, Eurofins generated EUR 6.72 billion in revenues. This Protein Purification Scientist role involves supporting purification, analytical testing, and daily laboratory operations. The position requires hands-on experience with advanced purification technologies, adherence to strong documentation practices, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality scientific outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or related field) with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, OR MS/PhD in a life science discipline with up to 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Hands-on experience with protein purification and analytical instrumentation
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and quality-focused
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques and follow standard procedures
  • Commitment to accurate documentation, teamwork, and productivity

  • Experience with data analysis tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform protein purification using chromatography-based techniques
  • Prepare and formulate buffers and reagents
  • Execute column packing and operation
  • Conduct purification and analysis using HPLC, SEC, Protein A (ProA) systems
  • Perform Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) for concentration and buffer exchange
  • Manage samples, including aliquot preparation and tracking
  • Support laboratory operations, including: Freezer and refrigerator inventory management, Sample disposal and lab waste handling, Equipment cleaning, storage, and preparation for maintenance (e.g., HPLC, ÄKTA systems), Buffer ordering and inventory control
  • Maintain accurate records and support compliant laboratory documentation
