In 2021, Eurofins generated EUR 6.72 billion in revenues. This Protein Purification Scientist role involves supporting purification, analytical testing, and daily laboratory operations. The position requires hands-on experience with advanced purification technologies, adherence to strong documentation practices, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality scientific outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or related field) with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, OR MS/PhD in a life science discipline with up to 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Hands-on experience with protein purification and analytical instrumentation
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and quality-focused
- Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques and follow standard procedures
- Commitment to accurate documentation, teamwork, and productivity

Responsibilities
- Perform protein purification using chromatography-based techniques
- Prepare and formulate buffers and reagents
- Execute column packing and operation
- Conduct purification and analysis using HPLC, SEC, Protein A (ProA) systems
- Perform Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) for concentration and buffer exchange
- Manage samples, including aliquot preparation and tracking
- Support laboratory operations, including: Freezer and refrigerator inventory management, Sample disposal and lab waste handling, Equipment cleaning, storage, and preparation for maintenance (e.g., HPLC, ÄKTA systems), Buffer ordering and inventory control
- Maintain accurate records and support compliant laboratory documentation
