Requirements

  • Security License preferred, Crisis Prevention Intervention training within first 4 months of employment
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's license with a "good" driving history and no more than 4 points.
  • High school diploma required
  • 5+ Years of previous security experience prior experience in law enforcement / military preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to alarms and dispatched calls, assessing the situation and determining appropriate actions based on available information and situational constraints.
  • Patrols assigned areas, monitoring buildings and grounds to identify potential security and safety threats to the Medical Center.
  • Monitors and controls the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and others, ensuring that unauthorized individuals do not gain access and preventing theft.
  • Identifies, collects, or photographs all physical evidence related to an investigation, ensuring proper documentation as per supervisor guidance.
  • Reports and addresses hazardous conditions and illegal activities, taking prompt action as observed or recorded.
  • Cautiously manages subjects and witnesses, securing the scene and preserving any physical evidence in line with disciplinary protocols and supervisory oversight.
