About The Position

The Prospect Management Director works to support and promote the prospect management, prospect identification, and pipeline management efforts of the Mayo Clinic Department of Development. The Prospect Management Director will serve as the prospect management liaison to a fundraising unit, helping to ensure a strong team pipeline by using data analytics to identify the best prospects and monitoring their management by the frontline fundraisers. They will work with a cohort of development officers to ensure that they are working with the strongest prospects and have individual pipelines that will enable them to reach their stretch goals. The Prospect Management Director will offer input to the Associate Chair Prospect Management, Research, and Data Analytics on prospect management program strategy and may provide direction to work completed by Prospect Management Associate Director. The Prospect Management Director will partner with Campaign Directors to manage and report on the pipeline for identified fundraising priorities. They will assist in driving fundraising activity by documenting and reporting on action items discussed during campaign and strategy meetings. The Prospect Management Director will collaborate with Development Technology Services (DTS) to create new dashboards and related reporting tools to support the reporting needs of fundraisers and managers. This position will serve as a key player in the auditing and tracking of prospect records and in maintaining the data integrity of prospect information. The Prospect Management Director will be responsible for training fundraisers and development staff on prospect management policies and procedures for data entry as it pertains to prospect relationships, strategies, and information retrieval. They will provide frequent ad hoc reports and analyses for development leadership.
