About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight. As part of a hardworking team of engineers on the BE-3U program, you will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, supply chain, test, manufacturing, and quality to attack some of the most impactful opportunities to increase mission performance. You’ll own quickly implementing cross-program upgrade activities that accelerate team-wide execution on engine performance, cost, and lead time improvements. In this role, you will partner with product leads, design engineers, and manufacturing engineers to define, refine, and realize opportunities to increase the speed of design, manufacturing, and testing. You will also interface with internal and external support teams to help solve technical and organizational challenges that might hinder our pace. As the owner of projects that span across the BE-3U life cycle, you must enjoy identifying and solving communication and process challenges, earning trust, and improving the overall performance of all teams involved. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can work with minimal direction to successfully execute engineering and manufacturing upgrade activities. This position will have a measurable effect on Blue’s upper stage engine performance and directly impact the history of space exploration.
