About The Position

SaviLinx is engaging a Proposal Writer (Contractor) to support our Business Development team in responding to government and commercial RFIs, RFPs, and other procurement requests. The contractor will independently gather information, research as needed, and produce clear, factual, persuasive, and compliant proposal content aligned to solicitation requirements. This is a deadline-driven engagement requiring flexibility, responsiveness to changing requirements, and the ability to deliver high-quality copy under time constraints, including last-minute edits when necessary. Success in this engagement is measured by outcomes, including on-time delivery, compliance with proposal instructions, writing quality, and responsiveness to feedback and evolving scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, History, Political Science, Business, Law, Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in proposal writing, grant writing, business contract writing, or other technical writing
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, compelling, compliant copy under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Strong project management, organization, and time-management skills; ability to independently prioritize and execute work
  • Proven ability to translate input into accurate written responses
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word); experience with RFP/proposal software a plus
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight; proactive communicator on status, risks, and deadlines
  • Availability to flex hours as needed to meet critical proposal deadlines (as defined by each engagement)

Responsibilities

  • Review government and commercial RFIs, RFPs, and other procurement requests to identify scope, requirements, compliance needs, and response structure.
  • Attend meetings as requested to understand the company strategy, approach, and operational aspects and solutioning of each proposal
  • Independently research internal and external sources to obtain details necessary to draft accurate and complete responses.
  • Draft and finalize professional proposal copy by leveraging the content library, tailoring and updating content to fit each solicitation and company positioning.
  • Create or update charts/graphs to clearly communicate key proposal concepts and differentiators.
  • Incorporate feedback and revise content quickly to address changes in scope, compliance requirements, or solution approach.
  • Proofread and polish final text to ensure it is grammatically correct, clear, factual, persuasive, and aligned to proposal instructions.
  • Meet established deadlines and intermediate milestones, communicating progress and risks proactively.
  • Maintain orderly file management and store deliverables in designated locations; refine and update reusable content to reflect current positioning and capabilities.
