EmpiRx Health is experiencing a period of accelerated growth and platform expansion. We’re seeking a Clinical Proposal Strategist. The Proposal Strategist / Writer leads the end-to-end development of persuasive, high-quality proposals that articulate EmpiRx Health’s value and competitive advantages. This role collaborates closely with Sales and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to craft tailored, strategic responses to RFPs, ensuring consistency, clarity, and timely delivery. Managing multiple proposals simultaneously, the strategist drives proposal strategy, content development, and coordination to position the organization effectively in a competitive marketplace.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a proposal writer with a PBM, health plan, or group benefits insurance carrier.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint), proposal automation software, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, operate with urgency, and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging with all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging ChatGPT or similar AI tools for innovative, AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the writing and coordination of all proposal deliverables within established timeframes.
  • Manage 5–7 RFPs simultaneously at any given time.
  • Complete RFP/RFI questionnaires using cloud-based RFPIO proposal automation software and other available resources.
  • Maintain a strong, comprehensive, and up-to-date understanding of business and clinical models.
  • Translate clinical, operational, and financial language into clear, proposal-appropriate messaging.
  • Produce documents that adhere to EmpiRx Health’s marketing standards, department guidelines, and templates.
  • Coordinate proposal deliverables with a heightened focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure all proposal deadlines, both internal and external, are consistently met.
  • Update proposal information in Salesforce throughout the proposal process.
  • Identify RFP risk items and lead strategy calls with the RFP response team, including Clinical and Underwriting teams.
  • Partner with Sales and SMEs on proposal materials that reflect prospect needs, requirements, and company differentiators.
  • Interview and collaborate with SMEs to obtain accurate responses and support the proposal writing process.
  • Execute company-wide proposal procedures and communications.
  • Respond and coordinate with the response team on all follow-up notifications to ensure complete and quality input.
  • Participate in proposal reviews with senior leadership, incorporating changes and improvements as directed.
  • Lead finalist presentation strategy and prepare finalist presentations for assigned RFPs.
  • Capture and maintain standard SME content in the RFP database.
  • Lead or participate in projects to improve content, proposal templates, and attachments.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and streamlined processes/tools to manage proposal workflow volume.
