About The Position

This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that includes overseeing, coordinating, and managing the proposal estimation & planning process for engineering and construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably an Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Structural or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7-years’ relevant experience in technical project management or comparable technical leadership position required (10-years preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Proposal process management
  • Assists the business development team with scoping projects for proposals.
  • Manages the proposal process for engineering and small construction projects.
  • Maintains relationships with client project managers.
  • Prepares scopes of work for subcontractors.
  • Develops project budgets.
  • Review and analyze RFP documents to ensure adequate budget and proposal preparation information is provided.
  • Preparation of high-quality and accurate documents in accordance with the agreed strategy and sponsor expectations under the pressure of changing timelines.
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of final proposal documents.
  • Ensure the data is up to date in 4CastPlus
  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests.
  • Participate in the handover of successful proposals to the project team
  • Provide regular updates to management, operations, and support staff regarding the proposals
  • Develop and share best practices with team members to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Client communication and management
  • Communications with clients throughout the proposal process on items such as deliverable and schedule requirements
  • Provides project leadership during the proposal phase, acting as a project manager on large proposal efforts.
  • Escalates issues with management team to solve problems.
  • Leads schedule planning discussions to ensure client objectives are met.
  • Internal team management & supervision
  • Manages internal resources to complete proposals on time
  • Fosters relationships with the team and internal management, as well as maintains relationships with directors and management.
  • Manages procurement/RFQ submittals for equipment, material, and services budgeting on EPC proposals.
  • Facilitates communication with the team and other stakeholders.
  • Leads internal meetings for coordination and planning proposals.
  • Provides project leadership with the internal team, particularly on EPC proposals.
