About The Position

Yorktel is currently seeking a Proposal Manager who will take ownership of the entire RF(X) response process, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. This includes managing the bid/no-bid decision-making process to prioritize the right opportunities and guiding the proposal lifecycle through key stages such as bid assessment, requirements analysis, draft creation, response development, review cycles, and final delivery. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales leadership, engineering, and other teams to ensure cohesive and compelling proposals that align with company goals. The Proposal Manager will play a hands-on role in crafting high-quality, tailored proposal content that reflects our company’s expertise and value proposition. By working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure that each proposal is strategically aligned with client needs and industry standards. Your strong writing skills and attention to detail will be critical in delivering persuasive and accurate responses that support our growth objectives. This position also requires someone who can leverage Responsive, a premier content library software powered by AI and automation, and someone who can maintain and optimize our proposal content repository. This involves keeping the library up-to-date, accurate, and easily deployable to streamline the proposal development process. By utilizing Responsive’s advanced capabilities, you will enhance efficiency and ensure our proposals remain at the forefront of industry trends. Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and quality in all aspects of proposal development and content management.
  • Leadership: Demonstrates the ability to lead and inspire a team, guiding them through the proposal processes.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering strong communication and teamwork.
  • Project Management: Manages multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Adjusts processes and strategies based on the unique requirements and circumstances of each RFP.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seeks opportunities to refine and enhance proposal development workflows.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Writing, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing proposals and managing the RF(X) process, including bid/no-bid decision-making, proposal lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading proposal development efforts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Responsive content library software (desired).
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (desired).
  • Familiarity with Adobe PDF tools for document preparation and editing (desired).
  • Experience with AI-powered content library tools (e.g., Responsive) and advanced document preparation software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe PDF) is highly desirable.

  • Leverage Responsive’s automation capabilities to enhance efficiency and ensure proposals reflect the latest industry trends and company offerings.
