About The Position

The Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

The Property Officer II position is responsible for central supply’s operation of the Bowling Green Veterans Center.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

• EDUCATION: High School Graduate
• EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in the inventory, control, sales or disposal, or acquisition of property, or a related field.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.
• Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
• SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Responsibilities

• Oversees all operations within receiving and purchasing storage areas, including processing shipments, managing paperwork, and coordinating with the finance department for payment processing.
• Delivers supplies and equipment to proper locations within the building
• Makes local and contract purchases of supplies and equipment
• Operates machinery to access supplies and equipment
• Prepares and maintains records and reports on Central Supply operation
