Requirements

  • At least 4 years of multifamily property management experience.
  • 2+ years leading a team.
  • Stay on top of deadlines, follow through on commitments, and know how to prioritize.
  • Clear, calm, and professional communication (whether it's a resident concern, a staff meeting, or a budget presentation).
  • Customer-focused (residents feel heard, valued, and supported).
  • Understand the business side: rent rolls, budgets, reporting, and expense management.
  • Confident using property management systems (i.e., Entrata), Microsoft Office, and digital tools that keep things running smoothly.
  • Lead by example, stay cool under pressure, and bring solutions, not drama.
  • Treats all current and future residents with the highest level of concern and care.
  • Demonstrates a natural disposition towards personal and public safety.
  • Operates from a place of integrity, honesty, and ethics.
  • Able and willing to maintain regular attendance and punctuality to ensure all essential duties are fulfilled.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak and write free of typos or grammatical mistakes.
  • Ability to communicate with current and future residents, vendors, staff, management, and others effectively and professionally.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience managing large multifamily real estate properties.
  • A minimum of 4 years of residential property management experience with a proven track record in leasing or sales.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising two or more employees.
  • Proficient computer skills, including using Microsoft Office products in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with general business and accounting concepts and practices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and develop financial statements.
  • High-school graduate-level mathematical proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate company-owned vehicles or to utilize own vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, from leasing and resident relations to work orders and vendor coordination.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and support your on-site leasing and maintenance teams—creating a positive culture where great work happens.
  • Work with your team and marketing partners to promote your property, attract new residents, and renew existing leases.
  • Manage budgets, control expenses, maximize revenue, and ensure rent collection stays on track.
  • Serve as the go-to contact for your community, resolving concerns, welcoming new residents, and creating a place people are proud to call home.
  • Conduct regular property inspections, support unit readiness, and oversee maintenance standards and capital improvements.
  • Submit accurate financial reports, manage payroll/commissions, and stay compliant with all local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Engage with your local apartment association, keep up with competitors, and build a strong reputation in the community.
