About The Position

Good Life Maintenance is a growing sister-company to Good Life Property Management a residential property management company serving individual and small-portfolio rental property owners across Southern California. We operate in San Diego, Orange County, and Riverside and are entering a focused growth phase. Good Life Maintenance exists to make owning rental property easy. We are seeking a hands-on, highly accountable Maintenance Supervisor to build and lead our property maintenance operations from the ground up. This person is going to elevate our operations and be capable of building it the right way- with strong systems, a great team, and a culture we are proud of, ensuring work gets done quickly and right the first time. This is not a call-taker role. You are a true leader, a wrench in one hand and a scorecard in the other — equally comfortable building and creating systems, workflows and operating rhythms and hiring, coaching, scheduling, developing your team while staying hands-on enough to jump in when it matters. A CSLB Class B license is highly preferred — it unlocks your ability to self-perform and oversee a broader scope of work, along with compliance awareness and saving the company contractor markups so we can take care of our owners and tenants.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in a field-based or service environment
Experience hiring, coaching, and managing teams
Strong operational and systems-building mindset
Ability to own outcomes and make decisions independently
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in maintenance, facilities management, construction, or field services
Experience leading a team or department
Experience improving systems or operations within a growing organization
Familiarity with EOS or similar operating systems
Active California contractor license and ability to serve as the company’s RMO
Comfortable operating alongside a contracted licensed RMO

Responsibilities

Build the maintenance business infrastructure from the ground up
Create systems for scheduling, dispatching, work order management, and communication
Implement workflows, tools, and KPIs that drive efficiency and accountability
Establish operating rhythms including weekly scorecards and performance reviews
Continuously improve systems to support scalability and growth
Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team
Lead maintenance technicians, dispatchers, and administrative support staff
Set clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability structures
Build a strong culture focused on professionalism, ownership, and improvement
Own the maintenance experience for residents and property owners end-to-end
Ensure work orders are completed efficiently, professionally, and with high quality
Improve response time, communication, and service reliability
Monitor customer feedback and continuously improve service delivery
Build a strong operating partnership with Good Life Property Management
Align maintenance operations with company goals and growth strategy
Scale the maintenance team as demand increases
Identify opportunities to expand services and improve margins
Performs other duties as assigned.
