About The Position

The Property Management Intern will assist in property management activities for assets within the Boston Region portfolio. This role involves developing familiarity with BXP's Boston region assets and providing backup coverage within various property management offices as needed. The intern will assist with tenant events, visitor check-in, and special events tracking logs, as well as expand the client dossier by researching office clients' businesses and their clients to identify opportunities for promotion within the BXP client network. Additionally, the intern will research parking valet applications to enhance valet operations and customer experience, presenting recommendations to the BXP parking management team. The intern will also create, develop, and implement a curb appeal program, which includes touring Urban Edge properties, developing a scorecard to evaluate team performance, conducting site inspections, and supporting the Property Management Department on special projects.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program required.
  • Completion of college education through junior year preferred.
  • One year of prior summer work experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to confidently interact with co-workers, contractors, tenants, or vendors in an articulate, courteous, and business-like manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and multi-task management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop familiarity with BXP's Boston region assets.
  • Provide backup coverage within various property management offices as needed.
  • Assist with tenant events, visitor check-in, and special events tracking logs.

  • Identify opportunities to promote within the BXP client network.

  • Set up and attend property tours with the team; manage the scorecard and evaluation process.
  • Identify areas of improvement and discuss overall curb appeal assessment with the team.
  • Develop and distribute a best practice plan to share with teams.
  • Conduct site inspections and create work orders for corrective measures.
  • Support the Property Management Department on special projects.
