About The Position

Haynes Development is seeking an experienced property management BOOKKEEPER for our award winning facility!

Requirements

  • Experience in bookkeeping or accounting (property management experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency with property management accounting software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, Rent Manager).
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and general ledger accounting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple properties simultaneously.
  • Experience with trust accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions, including rent payments, invoices, deposits, and expenses.
  • Maintain general ledgers for multiple properties.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for property owners.
  • Track accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process vendor payments and ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage tenant ledgers, including charges, credits, and adjustments.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Monitor rent collections and follow up on delinquencies.
  • Process move‑in/move‑out accounting, including security deposit dispositions.
  • Coordinate with property managers on maintenance billing and work order costs.
  • Maintain accurate records for multiple properties, owners, and portfolios.
  • Prepare owner statements and distribute monthly reports.
  • Assist with year‑end reporting, including 1099s and audit support.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, GAAP standards, and property management regulations.
