About The Position

The Property Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of company property and facilities. This role includes groundskeeping, routine maintenance, equipment checks, and support with special projects as directed by the Shop Supervisor. The Property Maintenance plays a vital role in preserving the condition and appearance of the property, while supporting a safe and efficient work environment.. Work schedules will be discussed when hired. This Property Maintenance position is not limited to duties at a single location. The role may require responding to various operational needs across properties, including serving as a first responder for cleanup efforts at fuel spills or accidents, or assisting with fuel transfer operations at bunkering sites. This is a highly versatile position that supports a wide range of functions, requiring flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to step in wherever needed. In return, Gate hopes that you find reward in the work that you provide. Uniforms will be provided by a service that also provides laundering once a week. Hard-toed footwear is required for your safety.

Requirements

Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
High School diploma or continued studies
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and dependable transportation
Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Knowing how to use electric and air tools safely and correctly
Able to operate zero-turn mower safely and required use of ear and eye protection
Knowledge of correct and safe usage of electric and air tools
Be self-motivated but work within the team.
Effective communication skills – handwritten and verbal.
Able to be given a task and complete in a timely manner.
Work safely around warehouse personnel and other equipment

Responsibilities

Maintaining lawn mowing and trimming on the property
Doing pre-trip maintenance of equipment, such as lawn mower, weed trimmer and others
Sweeping and cleaning work areas
Patrolling property for loose garbage/ paper on grounds
Observing all needed inventory and inform supervisor to order
Maintenance of anything in the building which is requested by the Shop Supervisor
Performing any additional tasks requested or assigned by Shop Supervisor
Arriving to work on time, consistently
Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair. Ensure team is in proper uniform as well
Attending all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings
Reporting any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment
