About The Position

As the Maintenance Service Technician, you will perform and oversee essential home maintenance services including pressure washing, gutter cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, smoke detector testing, water heater flushes, and other maintenance services. You will preform service visits, ensure quality standards, and represent the brand with professionalism and reliability. In addition to technical expertise, you will actively contribute to company growth by driving sales opportunities during and outside of service visits. Part-Time Position- Potential to a Full Time Position as we continue to grow.

Requirements

Prior experience in residential maintenance, home inspections, handyman services, or related fields.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Strong customer service skills with a can-do attitude.
Ability to engage in consultative sales, upselling services, and communicating value to homeowners.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks safely.
Tech-savvy with smartphone/tablet use for job tracking and reporting.

Nice To Haves

Experience in operating pressure washing systems, installing gutter systems, inspecting HVAC or tank/tankless water heaters and minor plumbing/electrical tasks.
Prior experience in sales, door-to-door canvassing, or customer-facing service roles with proven ability to upsell.
OSHA or trade certifications are a plus.
Military or veteran experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled home maintenance tasks efficiently and to high quality standards.
Interact with customers in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
Conduct safety checks and identify potential issues during service delivery.
Engage homeowners to explain additional services, make recommendations, and provide clear upsell opportunities.
Participate in Door-to-Door outreach campaigns to introduce HomeSmiles services to new homeowners and neighborhoods.
Confidently speak with homeowners about preventive maintenance, educate them on the value of bundled services, and close sales opportunities.
Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in top condition.
Accurately complete service reports and communicate findings.
Ensure compliance with all HomeSmiles procedures and safety protocols.
