About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. This individual will be responsible for addressing maintenance requests, performing general repairs, and completing apartment turns between tenants. The ideal candidate is experienced in various trades, self-motivated, professional, and responsive to the needs of residents and property management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a skilled trade
  • Own tools and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Smartphone with camera and email access for job documentation and updates
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, drywall repair, painting, and appliance installation
  • Complete apartment turns including cleaning, touch-ups, hardware replacement, and any necessary repairs
  • Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with residents and staff
  • Document work performed and communicate job status through the property management system
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with local building codes
