Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required
  • Prior experience in property, factory, hotel maintenance, or a related trade such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, or concrete preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in property maintenance or a related trade
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in property maintenance or a related trade
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Quick diagnosis of issues and finding effective solutions.
  • Ability to spot potential problems before they escalate.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to report issues clearly and collaborate with other team members.
  • Willingness to advance within the field (continuing education and certification opportunities available)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting heavy objects, standing, or working in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns. Lubricate, clean, and adjust machines as necessary to ensure proper functioning. Replace worn or damaged parts and components to avoid equipment failure.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment and systems. Work with team members or vendors to address complex issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Equipment Installation and Setup: Install new machinery, equipment, or systems according to specifications and safety guidelines. Test equipment post-installation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols. Use proper tools and equipment for repairs while minimizing hazards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and inspections. Report issues, repairs, and inventory needs to supervisors or managers.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and facility managers to improve equipment reliability. Provide technical support to other departments and team members when needed.
