As a Renewable Property Broker in our Natural Resources division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional marketing results to our U.S.-based clients which have a focus in renewable energy. Working closely with Client Executives/Account Executives, underwriters, and internal support teams, you will manage a portfolio of energy accounts, ensuring all aspects of coverage, renewals, and policy servicing are handled with accuracy and efficiency. Your role is essential in maintaining strong client and market relationships and helping to ensure client satisfaction throughout the insurance lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a broker specializing in renewable energy clients
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license (U.S. state-specific)
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and market dynamics
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, able to explain complex coverages
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, action-oriented, strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and priority management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Assist Client Executives/Account Executives by being a technical resource for both prospects and active clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Attend client meetings (virtually or in person) as required.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key renewable markets and MGA’s
  • Establish and follow renewal protocols 90 days in advance of renewal to manage client expectations
  • Confirm any additional information needed (supplemental applications, etc) prior to the information request being sent to the client
  • Responsible for and working with a client executive / account executive to develop the renewal strategy for assigned accounts and preparing the Pre-Renewal Strategy Presentation to present to the client
  • Request and review client’s exposure information for accuracy prior to submitting it to the market
  • Create Coverage Specifications for markets including five years of exposure information
  • Review all quotes for accuracy and request full policy/endorsement wording, when needed
  • Provide lead terms to the following / quota share and any excess markets
  • Schedule renewal update calls on a weekly basis 30 days prior to renewal
  • Negotiate the best coverage/price for the client and outline results of the renewal in detail to present to the client
  • Ensure any quote subjectivities are met
  • Respond quickly to client calls and emails
  • Track receipt of policies
  • Contract review
  • Provide market news/updates to clients throughout the year
  • Provide budget guidance
