About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Admin/Tech who is responsible for the safe, secure, and compliant destruction of government property, including sensitive materials, equipment, documents, and obsolete items. This role ensures that all destruction processes adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as security and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance w/ Polygraph is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with cross-functional teams including project managers and technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently on projects or assignments with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in destruction, disposal, or property management, preferably in a government or defense setting.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy items (up to 35 pounds).
  • Ability to work in environments with potentially hazardous materials or equipment.
  • Physical stamina to perform destruction tasks that may involve standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework in logistics, property management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and conduct the physical destruction of government property, including documents, electronic equipment, and materials that are no longer required or have reached the end of their useful life.
  • Ensure compliance with disposal regulations, including hazardous material handling, shredding of sensitive documents, destruction of obsolete electronic equipment, and the proper disposal of waste.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the handling and disposal of government property, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Ensure that all destruction and disposal activities are conducted safely and securely, preventing unauthorized access or environmental contamination.
  • Maintain secure storage areas for items awaiting destruction or disposal.
  • Operate destruction equipment (e.g., shredders, crushers, incinerators, or electronic data destruction tools) to ensure items are irreversibly destroyed.
  • Ensure the destruction of sensitive, classified, or confidential items follows strict security protocols and complies with government standards
  • Ensure that all destruction activities are performed in a secure environment, preventing unauthorized access to sensitive or classified materials.
  • Identify and safely dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental and safety regulations (e.g., electronics, chemicals, or other regulated items).
  • Ensure that hazardous waste destruction procedures are followed to protect the environment and comply with regulations such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA safety standards during destruction activities.
