The PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT at WRH is a key team member responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting and related rental property records for an assigned portfolio of WRH Realty managed apartment complexes. Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
- Applicants must pass an accounting competency test during their first interview to be considered for the position.
- One to three years of accounting experience. Property management accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with the operation and use of standard office computers and accounting programs. Experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus.
- Microsoft Excel experience and proficiency is required.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
- Communication skills and tact necessary to work with operational staff who are not accountants.
- Discipline and sufficient time management skills to allow meeting reporting deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Property management accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in resolving Owner, On-site and Regional Managers accounting related questions/concerns.
- Ensuring timely distribution of financial and management reports.
- Completing monthly bank account and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assisting with audit related schedules and supporting documentation
- Completing special projects and monthly tasks related to the entire portfolio
- Reviewing and approving invoices submitted by property managers
