About The Position

We're looking for a motivated, customer-focused team member to join us as a Propane and Fuels Service and Delivery Specialist in the Ashe District. This role is critical to ensuring our members get reliable fuel service, safe operations, and top-notch support. You'll gain cross-functional experience with both propane/fuels and electric operations while helping Blue Ridge Energy thrive in our community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NC Class B CDL with Hazmat, air brake, and tank endorsements.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience (propane delivery, technical services, or customer-facing roles).
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively.
• Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must live in the service area of work center where employed, or within a 30-minute drive of the work center office.
• Performance of on-call duty and timely response to any service or delivery need, both routine and major, is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and other fuel products safely and efficiently to our members.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for new business while nurturing and retaining our existing members.
• Participate in safety meetings and trainings to keep yourself and the team safe.
• Work alongside the Electric Operations team for six months of the year, gaining experience with underground crews and expanding your skill set.
