About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. This position will exclusively support Weekend Shift (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon, 10 hours/day) after an on-boarding period of weekday support. As a Manufacturing Engineer this person will be supporting the technician team by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Kuiper hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures). Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • 2+ years supporting production in a manufacturing capacity or related field
  • 2+ years experience with enterprise
  • BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner
  • Support and manage daily production operations and eliminate blockers and/or part shortages
  • Work with cross functional teams to solve production issues
  • Provide design for manufacturability feedback and drive positive continuous change to hardware
  • Work with process, quality, and design engineers to continuously improve manufacturing processes
