About The Position

Responsible for assisting in planning, implementation and execution of all on-property promotions. Strong emphasis on finance and budgeting responsibilities.

Requirements

  • MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak.
  • Understand and comply with all policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, and other instructions.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate, verbally and written with management, staff and guests.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 Years Promotions/Events preferred; must possess excellent skills in project and people management, communication and writing.
  • Literate and fluent.
  • Must possess financial reporting & budget maintenance skills.
  • Professional written and verbal presentation skills necessary.
  • Knowledge of multiple systems that support business objectives from a property perspective helpful, specifically: WINet, CMS, and Events Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Excel, Word and Access, required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, implementing and executing promotional programs by working with Marketing Manager to plan, pull together details, and participate in big day activities and winner selection.
  • Develop and maintains policies, procedures and standards relating to promotion management including financial reporting and budget maintenance.
  • Effectively execute drawings and work all promotional “big days?.
  • Coordinate with manager to deliver and distribute all promotion related materials through Submitting requests for database queries and creative materials, and working with those departments to “fine tune? such requests.
  • Effectively communicate all details of promotions to other departments and employees.
  • Manage costs incurred by Promotions and re-conciliate monthly costs to budget through Marketing Program spreadsheet.
  • Assist Marketing Manager in preparation of monthly report on promotion programs by accumulating programs costs, inputting Marketing Program spreadsheet changes and detailing profit and loss statements.
  • Perform analysis on promotion performance for review by Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing's evaluation and future plans.
  • Takes a proactive role in developing strategic use of existing information processes, as well as evaluating potential uses of new processes.
  • Proven ability to work with management on strategic development issues.
  • Contact with IGB office on all giveaway forms submitted for approval.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and finalizing all property giveaway forms/files, while in contact with Chicago/MET IGB regulators.
  • Must work with APS to set up system requirements and details for promotions.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills front-of-house and back-of-house, by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
