About The Position

Cumulus Media | Nashville, TN is in search of a hard-working Part-Time Promotions Intern. This job will consist of general office duties as well as going out into the community to interact with listeners and promote our stations. The Promotions Intern will represent 104-5 The Zone/Titans Radio and SuperTalk 99.7 WTN at specified events, acting as a Brand Ambassador. This includes set-up and breakdown of pop-up tents and tables, hanging banners, interacting with listeners and registering people to win prizes. To join the team, you must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods of time. In the office, the Promotions Intern may handle prize fulfillment, event preparation, contest building, brainstorming new ideas and other promotion-oriented tasks (such as maintaining station websites and social media as directed by the Promotions Director). The position also includes running errands and helping with vehicle maintenance, answering phones and speaking to listeners that are claiming prizes. We’re looking for charismatic applicants, with smiling faces and outgoing personalities. If you love talking to people and listening to great radio, this could be the perfect job for you. Internship would start on or around May 5, 2026, and end on or around August 14, 2026.

Requirements

Previous media/radio marketing experience preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for managing and optimizing social media channels.
Extensive knowledge of news and sports.
Working knowledge of audio analytics.
Experience with Photo/Video production preferred.
Must be 21 years of age or older, college education preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reliable; have a flexible schedule and available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
May require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented and responsible.
Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and WordPress.
Multi-tasking abilities.
Event experience and planning preferred.
Strong Social Media skills with sites like Facebook, x.com, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch and LinkedIn.
Ability to learn new platforms (understanding of Microsoft 365 and vCreative is a plus).

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing & execution of promotional events and digital campaigns for 104-5 The Zone, Titans Radio and SuperTalk 99.7 WTN.
Provide support for Cumulus Nashville’s promotional and digital initiatives: promoting social media platforms and websites, station contesting, station-client sponsored events, and station community and media events.
Execute proper technical and physical set-up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly.
Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing and friendly manner.
Data Entry of Promotional events and contesting.
Work with promotional partners and gathering of prizes for giveaways.
Create e-newsletters, social media posts & website posts; review promotional information and graphics.
Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars, events for current and upcoming promotions.
Assisting the Promotions and Business Department with projects as needed in the office.
Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel and coordinating maintenance
Maintain and storage of station equipment
