About The Position

This position is accountable for the air testing of bases and performing final preparations to the bases prior to transferring the base to the paint shop or shipping the base to the customer. Responsibilities include performing air testing to check for leaks, performing touch up painting to affected areas, cleaning bases and preparing bases for shipment or transfer. Rigging, lifting and loading bases utilizing overhead cranes.

Requirements

This position is for Air Testers, and requires minimum supervision to perform the job.
Must exhibit the skills and willingness to perform assigned tasks in a fully competent manner.
Ability to read and write.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to use tools required for the job.
Skilled on use of overhead crane.
Skilled on fork lift.
Ability to do stud welding.
Ability to do medium level rigging.
Ability to do grinding, drilling, tapping and some layout.
Must have at least 2 years of experience as an Air Tester

Responsibilities

Comply with all of TurboFab’s Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, Regulations and Guidelines.
Check own work for compliance to specifications.
Use all necessary equipment and tools required to perform work.
Ensure that procedures have been followed and quality has not been compromised.
Must keep all areas clean and orderly; and comply with TurboFab’s housekeeping procedures.
Must follow the Air Testing procedures.
Must test for leaks, clean the bases, do minor paint touch ups, prepare the bases for shipment or transfer, rig, lift and load bases to trucks using overhead cranes, as required.
