About The Position

ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management support for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Project Support Specialist to provide full-time in-office support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD. Role overview: This role provides leadership, guidance, training, and mentoring to other project support personnel within the Flight Projects Directorate. Ensures that project support personnel receive policies and procedures pertinent to their duties, disseminating information throughout the Directorate verbally, in writing, or electronically. This includes, but is not limited to training in the areas of correspondence, telephone procedures, publications, directives, reports, etc.

Requirements

  • Provide full-time on-site support at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
  • Team player with a positive/ can-do attitude at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with our customers and internal departments.
  • Proactive, organized, detail-oriented to respond to customer requests and deadlines.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills- ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
  • Bachelors degree and 3-4 years of related experience or 7-8 years of experience in experience in lieu of degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GSFC administrative systems, such as eMod, IDMAX, and CGE/Concur is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • General business/project support, including answering telephones, document preparation and review, filing, scheduling meetings and calendar maintenance, managing phone and email distributions, and office supply maintenance.
  • Assist in tracking, coordinating, and preparing/submitting responses to action items in the Action Item System.
  • Correspondence routing of documents and ensuring the documents meet strict guidelines and deadline.
  • Onboarding of new hires and/or visitors will also be badged, managed and tracked in coordination with IDMAX and NAMS.
  • Conference scheduling and coordination, resolution for calendar conflicts, WebEx/Lync and room set up for various meetings.
  • Supporting key meetings (e.g., establishing call-in line, taking notes, creating sign-in list).
  • Orders office and IT supplies in anticipation of business needs using AMMS, ACES and SAP. Obtain SEWP quotes and work with purchasing groups when necessary.
  • Schedule office moves (phones, computers, office locations, floor plans, moving supplies and service requests).
  • Records Management (maintain records for required documentation) and Property Custodian (assist in inventory/tracking of branch property).
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned.
