About The Position

The Project Specialist II supports project managers in the execution of large-scale supply chain initiatives or independently manages specific workstreams and smaller projects. Project may include creating and deployment of a standard method of standard processes across GSC as a part of Global Process Leadership including aspect of Magellan and other strategic or operational initiatives impacting Boston Scientific's global supply chain. This position offers a unique opportunity to specialize in supporting senior project managers or to gain exposure to project management fundamentals as a stepping stone toward a future project management career.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in project support or project coordination roles, including leading or managing projects
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with data management and technology system implementation
  • Strong data analysis skills and comfort working with large data sets
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability to learn new software quickly
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical device industry
  • Background in process development and leading continuous improvement efforts
  • Experience creating and facilitating communication with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Supporting detailed project planning, including major product or process transfer initiatives
  • Coordinating activities of Boston Scientific project resources as assigned
  • Assisting the project manager in identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path items while ensuring quality and following approved methodologies
  • Supporting the development and adherence to project contracts or terms and conditions
  • Collaborating with project managers, team members, and functional leaders to clearly communicate expectations and deliverables
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation and tools (e.g., meeting notes, decision logs, risk matrices, and terms and conditions)
  • Preparing and delivering timely project status updates
  • Promoting continuous improvement in alignment with Boston Scientific's Quality Policy and Quality System
  • Identifying and escalating unresolved obstacles that may impact project success
  • Participating in the planning, execution, and completion of projects-within scope, budget, and timeline-using organized, repeatable processes
  • Conducting post-project reviews and capturing lessons learned to improve future performance
  • Applying critical thinking to offer new ideas and optimize project plans
