About The Position

Project Specialist I supports the service, maintenance, and implementation of security and life safety systems for industrial and commercial applications. The position offers hands‑on experience across the full-service while building technical skills, troubleshooting capabilities, and customer‑facing communication in a collaborative engineering environment. This specific position is a service tech whose primary goal is the servicing and upkeep of our local DFW customer base and the various security and life safety systems deployed therein.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or Electronics related studies preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Security and Life Safety field.
  • Familiarity and experience with the following intrusion systems: Bosch (Radionix), Honeywell, DSC
  • Familiarity and experience with the following surveillance systems: Bosch (Radionix), Avigilon (On-Prem and Cloud), Milestone, Genetec (On-Prem and Cloud)
  • Familiarity and experience with the following access control systems: Bosch (Radionix), Avigilon (On-Prem and Cloud), Ccure, Hirsch, Genetec (On-Prem and Cloud), Lenel
  • FAL License.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with intrusion, access control, video (analog and digital) and fire system installation and programming.
  • Able to self-manage and operate in a remote environment as needed.
  • Capable of operating with little guidance and supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Clean driving record
  • 20% travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and inspect currently installed security and life safety systems (SLS).
  • Read and update final technical documentation for completed projects (As-Builts).
  • Troubleshoot, service and program intrusion, surveillance and access control systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for other technicians, customers, and sales teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining current technical, interpersonal, and communication skills through continuous education/development. (school, reading, seminars, industry group membership, etc.)
  • Ability to transition to assist the installation department as needed.
  • Maintain clean driving record.
  • Must be able to access and inspect all areas of customer SLS systems.
  • Must be able travel as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
