Critical member of the Project Sourcing team providing support on Capital Projects for all assigned business units, responsible for proactively managing the project budget, including but not limited to: contract negotiation and management, commercial negotiations, delivery schedule negotiations and management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management support, demand planning, and customer interface. Assists Director and team members in the development and deployment of Project Sourcing strategies. Candidate must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship. For assigned smaller capital projects ($500 K) lead Project Sourcing negotiations for project work streams to include services, materials, equipment and delivery schedules that correspond to areas of responsibility. Support Principal and Senior Project Specialist on larger capital projects. Work collaboratively within Supply Chain Operations Support, Purchasing Services, Key Stakeholders and Global Procurement Group. Meet with key customers routinely and proactively identify capital projects and contract value opportunities. Manage end-to-end project sourcing and contracting process (including RFI/RFQ/RFPs) for assigned capital projects and other needed services or equipment. Assist with contract start-up functions involving appropriate department project leads. Participate in identifying emerging opportunities within the supply community. Evaluate existing contract relationships to identify savings opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, and other commercial terms enhancements. Leverage market intelligence to evaluate, negotiate, and manage annual price fluctuations. Negotiate commercial terms for project-based spend associated with capital projects. Demonstrate competency in negotiating. Manage contracts for assigned projects and utilize existing Agreements whenever possible. Utilize all Supply Chain technologies for Project Sourcing, Contract Management, SRM, and Spend Analysis. Develop relationships with key customers to understand their project, service, and/or equipment needs and implement strategies to maximize savings in the Capital Maintenance Plan, Expense Plan, and for emerging projects. Responsible for ensuring compliance with internal processes, including but not limited to, contract filing processes, bidding processes, and value creation reporting processes. Work closely with the Supplier Relationship Management Specialist for key suppliers under areas of responsibility. Maintain a consistent series of key performance indicators which can be used to gauge supplier performance and create actionable improvement plans. Facilitate periodic business reviews with key suppliers and organize internal stakeholder feedback. Provide various reports as requested by Director Partner with Legal to ensure current and continued compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures, both internal and external, to Air Liquide. Support Senior Project Sourcing Specialists, Principal Sourcing Specialists, and Logistics Specialists on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, accounting, or other business related fields.
  • Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Candidate must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Demonstrate competency in negotiating.
