About The Position

GE Aerospace operates three cutting-edge manufacturing facilities in the Muskegon area. Our plants are home to high performance teams who are creating quality High Pressure Turbine Nozzles, Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles, and Shrouds for use in commercial and military aircraft engines. The manufacturing processes we use include High Speed Grinding, Brazing / Heat Treat, In-machine deburr, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) such as Conventional, Speed Drills, CNC and Wire as well as Ultrasonic Cleaning and VPA Coating. As the Sourcing Specialist at our Muskegon, MI site, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods, apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets, and develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of supply chain purchasing experience)

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with suppliers
• Collect commits from suppliers
• Place and follow-up on purchase orders (PO's)
• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution
• Manage problems and schedule changes
• Update Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
• Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience
• Resolve issues using established procedures
• Consult People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters
• Handle simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction
