About The Position

The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating proposals and construction schedules under the direction of the Corporate Scheduling Manager. Additional responsibilities include: The Project Scheduler is responsible for working closely with technical experts, project leads and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules. Determine best process control, procurement, subcontracting, risk management, assignment coordination, interaction with customers, and activity duration. Work closely with others in linking critical activities across multiple projects. Ensure an open communication system is available where all stakeholders are informed about changes to established schedules. Timely and accurate processing of schedule updates. Analyze the impact and extent of owner and subcontractor delays and major schedule changes. Create and publish high level integrated master schedules in accordance with the requirements or needs of the necessary stakeholders. Suggest corrective actions to keep the project on scope, budget, and time. Plan and create new schedule delays and summary reports. Perform project progress monitoring duties, as well as identifying critical activities, and reviewing forecasts with progress achieved to date. Provides training on software, critical path methodology, and all other aspects of scheduling. Assists project teams in schedule creation. Is involved in all major schedule updates. Monitors scheduling progress against corporate goals. Creates proposal schedules. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four-year construction related degree or equivalent experience
  • One to three years corporate scheduling experience
  • Thorough knowledge of diversified schedule engineering systems, principles and practices
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling and related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and coaching skills required
  • Good analytical and planning skills
  • Proficiency in the use of project scheduling software such as Asta, Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Knowledge of the current state of the CPM scheduling history, industry standards, practices, norms, and legal positions
  • Physical presence in the office during work hours for impromptu meetings and access to information/data is necessary for the position
  • Must be able to sit without interruptions for up to 2 hours. May be required to sit 6-8 hours per day
  • Travel required (25%), with occasional overnight travel
