The Project/Program Manager is accountable for the overall delivery, coordination, and success of a clinical software system implementation. This role provides day-to-day leadership across discovery, planning, rollout, and validation phases, ensuring alignment to defined scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics. Acting as the primary point of coordination between team members and client stakeholders, the Project/Program Manager drives clarity, momentum, and accountability throughout the engagement. This position oversees implementation planning, staffing coordination, and execution across multiple sites and operational groups. The Project/Program Manager manages dependencies, risks, and changes while ensuring consistent application of training and change management strategies. They support issue escalation and resolution, guide wave-based rollout execution, and ensure progress tracking, adoption measurement, and deliverable quality throughout the engagement lifecycle. In addition, the Project/Program Manager provides strategic leadership around stakeholder engagement, readiness, and sustainment. They partner closely with delivery team members and executive sponsors to ensure the implementation transitions successfully from rollout to steady-state operations, delivering measurable outcomes and a sustainable adoption model.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading healthcare or enterprise technology implementations.
  • Strong program and project management capabilities experience.
  • Experience managing multi-site or multi-wave implementations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
  • Experience overseeing training and change management efforts at scale.
  • Familiarity with clinical operations, scheduling workflows, or health IT environments preferred.
  • Consulting experience
  • Ability to be onsite daily and travel within the Austin area to multiple locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: PMP, Prosci/ACMP
  • Experience with healthcare systems and scheduling tools
  • Background in multi-site deployments
  • Experience in healthcare settings with clinical and administrative stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of clinical software implementations, ensuring scope, timeline, and quality objectives are met.
  • Coordinate multi-site rollout planning and execution, including staffing and resource alignment.
  • Manage program governance, including RAID logs, status reporting, and executive updates.
  • Oversee training and change management efforts at scale, ensuring readiness and adoption across diverse clinical roles.
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes, escalating issues and driving resolution.
  • Partner with client leadership to ensure stakeholder engagement, readiness, and sustainment strategies are executed effectively.
  • Track and report on success metrics, adoption rates, and operational performance post-go-live.
  • Partner with change management team members to oversee change adoption.
