About The Position

The Defense Systems Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Project Planner to work in our Ridgecrest California office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping with the AEWTTR mission. In this mission we provide engineering support for design, modification, and maintenance of ground radar and associated devices for the Navy’s Aircrew Electronic Warfare (EW) training capability. Our organization designs, manufactures, integrates, and provides depot level support for a wide variety of EW threat simulation systems that are part of the training infrastructure that ensures our Navy Aircrews are the most effective. The AEWTTR Project Planner will utilize project management tenets to control, manage, and support AEWTTR projects for the Program Manager and senior leadership in support of the AEWTTR program’s mission. You will coordinate project execution by defining objectives, creating project timeline & WBS, identify resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring project success. Interfacing with project stakeholders to maintain the project schedule and ensure mission milestones are achieved. Maintain project and integrated Master Schedule (s) for ongoing projects and technical documentation. Develop new schedules based on mission requirements, coordinating and integrating related requirements to support operational needs Identify project risks and opportunities and enter items in program’s Risk Management Tool (RMT) Host the monthly Risk and Opportunity Review, update risk status, and track associated actions to closure Create comprehensive documentation across a project which may include a timeline, a budget, key information, tasks, and resources. Develop program plans, briefs, procedures, and processes Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies Deliver CDRLs and maintains program’s Integrated Data Environment Perform administrative duties in support of program objectives, as needed

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working with teams in a dynamic, complex operational environment.
  • 2+ years of prior experience with Project Management which includes managing technical projects, project planning, project proposals, financial analysis, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Ridgecrest CA.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret clearance in the future. (U.S. Citizenship is required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with outlook, teams, and excel, but not required.
  • Active & current DoD Secret clearance is preferred.
