Who will you be working with? Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team is a recognized industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects. These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Wireshop Group, the Procurement Specialist plays a key role in overseeing the full range of procurement and inventory control activities by ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company policies. In this position you will manage material-related projects and collaborate closely with the wire shop to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies. You will be expected to streamline purchasing operations, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support cross-functional teams to meet production and project goals. What will your typical day look like? Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, representatives, and manufacturers at all organizational levels. Support material estimating efforts for prospective projects by reviewing RFQ specifications and typical bid plans. Solicit and compile vendor quotes to support accurate material cost estimates. Prepare Purchase Order Requests to assist Project Managers in the procurement approval process Prepare and create Purchase Orders in alignment with procurement requirements, approved purchase order request and project timelines. Generate material take-offs based on circuit and construction plans. Monitor and track the status of all material orders, providing regular updates and forecasts. Contribute to the reporting and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material management. Assist the Wiring Shop with receiving and entering materials into Oracle as needed.
