Duke School of Medicine is hiring a Project Planner I to support a newly funded initiative focused on improving health and well-being among North Carolina's perinatal-to-three population. This role will manage medium-to-large projects across Communications, Events, and Faculty Research, applying project management tools and skills to meet program goals. This position will support a newly funded, research-driven initiative focused on improving health and well-being for birthing parents and young children in North Carolina. The Project Planner I will manage medium-to-large projects across Communications, Events, and Faculty Research, applying project management tools and interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts across multiple teams. Responsibilities include operationalizing policy research, leading stakeholder engagement, and developing materials for program implementation. Funded by a philanthropic gift, the initiative begins with a six-month planning phase in collaboration with state and community partners to develop a 10-year implementation plan launching in 2026. The initial term for this position runs through December 31, 2025, with renewal contingent on future funding. Annual extensions are possible based on funding availability. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
