About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor – Facility Project Management, is responsible for identifying, analyzing, coordinating, and managing projects to include planning, scheduling, executing, and reporting of activities and progress associated with construction and/or maintenance of facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
  • 0-5 or more years of experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices, design and specifications, and material and labor cost estimations.
  • Experience in project management, including creating and executing work plans, project schedules, identifying resource requirements, management of daily project operations, and project budget and close-out.
  • Knowledge of project financial analyses, business case and strategic plan development, and costs/benefits evaluation practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of project management and construction management concepts & functional procedures.
  • Knowledge of environmental and regulatory requirements relative to the construction and operation of facilities (e.g. design, engineering, ADA regulations, Building and Fire codes, etc.).
  • Experience using software applications such as Procore, AUTOCAD, plotter equipment, and Microsoft Office Suite, to include MS Visio.
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, and/or other Project Management software.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles related to maintenance, procurement and construction processes and procedures.
  • Capable of applying engineering concepts, procurement and construction basics.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at the same time and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Rules and Regulations and other safe work practices.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving ability.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, construction, and operation and maintenance of facilities projects.
  • Manage and execute projects from initiation to closing.
  • Develop project plans, scopes of work, work breakdown structures, budgets, cash flows, presentations, and integrated schedules for proposed and/or assigned projects.
  • Manage assigned projects and tasks, including creating and executing work plans, project schedules, resource requirements, daily project operations, budget, scope, close-out, and/or commissioning.
  • Coordinate overall project resources requirements; recognizes and identifies key issues surrounding problems and develops contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate work of general contractors and consultants as needed; monitors project schedules and costs (budgets); and provides status reports on a timely basis.
  • Prepare long-term schedules for major projects and coordinates with management personnel at respective project sites.
  • Conduct process improvement-related work, including analysis, planning, execution, monitoring, presentation, and reporting.
  • Monitor and perform feasibility studies and develop recommendations on company initiatives.
  • Perform inspection and Quality Assurance/Quality Control functions with regards to construction design, operational standards, equipment maintenance and safety standards.
  • Identify, quantify and present risks, costs and benefits associated with projects and issues.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, contractors, consultants, and the general public.
  • Work with Supervisor and/or Manager to prepare cash flows and schedules for long-term forecasts.
  • Identify and implement best practices and capturing of lessons learned.
  • Collect and compile data required for relocation projects to include active participation/leadership of the Company’s Relocation Committee/Employee Set-up Committee. Plans all aspects of relocations to include HVAC, electrical, LAN, communications, and workstation requirements.
  • Prepare analysis, reports, charts, and/or graphs for planning purposes and provides recommendations regarding relocations, maintenance issues, and construction requests.
  • Prepare and/or reviews one-line diagrams via MS Visio or AUTOCAD of HVAC, electrical, structural, communications, LAN, fire protection, and/or various mechanical systems as required.
  • Prepare and/or reviews building floor plans, evacuation plans, conceptual layouts and plans as required.
  • Provide support in all aspects of daily facility operations.
  • Valid driver’s license and maintain compliance with the Company’s Driving Program policy.
  • Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Perform other related tasks that are not included but are within the context of the duties defined.
