About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing Foresight Automation projects from initial handoff through final delivery. This includes managing scope, schedule, cost, risks, and communication while coordinating closely with engineering, operations, the Shop Lead, Quality Control, Document Control, and Business Development (BD). The Project Manager acts as the internal driver of project execution, ensuring alignment between internal teams while coordinating with the BD team or assigned contact for all customer-facing communication. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Foresight’s quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in operations, manufacturing, engineering support, or supply chain.
  • Experience in project-based or custom manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of BOMs and ERP systems (P21 preferred).
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse tools, and inventory/distribution software.
  • Strong project management and multitasking capability.
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project kickoff based on the BD-to-Engineering handoff, clarifying scope, deliverables, and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, job folders, and action lists.
  • Coordinate activities between Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, Operations Manager, Shop Lead, QC Supervisor, and Document Control Coordinator.
  • Ensure project documentation, BOMs, drawings, and requirements are clearly defined and aligned with project timelines.
  • Monitor daily/weekly project progress and proactively address risks to scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Monitor the procurement of Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure all materials are ordered, tracked, and available in alignment with project timelines.
  • Coordinate closely with the Operations Manager regarding material shortages, long lead items, supplier delays, or procurement constraints.
  • Work with the Shop Lead to align build priorities, resolve production issues, and support on-time completion.
  • Support QC and Document Control to ensure inspections, redlines, and as-builts are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with the BD team or assigned customer-facing representative for all external customer communication.
  • Provide BD with routine internal updates to be shared with external customers.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure all customer commitments align with material readiness, production capacity, and internal schedules.
  • Support BD in handling RFIs, clarifications, submittals, approvals, and customer updates.
  • Assist with FAT planning and execution (documentation, testing coordination, punch list closure).
  • Maintain clear understanding of project scope based on customer requirements and contract terms.
  • Identify scope changes and coordinate with BD and GM to create and communicate change orders.
  • Track and communicate project risks; develop mitigation plans with engineering, operations, and the shop.
  • Support job setup and costing structure in P21 by providing project scope, labor expectations, and scheduling information.
  • Track project costs, labor hours, and major material expenditures against budgets.
  • Coordinate with BD and Operations Manager to validate percent-complete and deliverables for invoicing milestones.
  • Drive project close-out including documentation, as-built packages, lessons learned, and final financial review.
  • Ensure projects follow Foresight’s defined engineering, operations, and production workflows.
  • Proactively identify delays, rework, or documentation issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Support development of standardized templates, tools, and workflows for future projects.
