About The Position

Jacobsen|Daniels is seeking a Project Manager with demonstrated project management, terminal/landside planning, design and/or construction experience to support a variety of projects for Jacobsen|Daniels’ clients. Candidates should be self-motivated critical thinkers and have the capacity to work within a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will be capable of working individually and in team environments. Strong oral communication skills, including the capability to understand and follow oral and written communication, are also required. The Project Manager is responsible for executing, managing, and successfully delivering creative solutions for a range of projects within the Jacobsen|Daniels portfolio of projects. This position is expected to champion corporate values and assist in promoting a culture of high expectations and performance. This position may have supervisory responsibilities and regularly interface with staff, executive level management, client personnel and vendors. The Project Manager has primary responsibility for supporting overall project performance including understanding and reporting on costs, schedule, quality, and project status. This position involves liaison with company clients, design teams, airport management and staff, and key stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting the management of the technical and financial aspects of the contract.

Requirements

Must possess demonstrated ability in managing project design and/or construction components.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, etc.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Employment with Jacobsen|Daniels is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test and the ability to pass a TSA and Homeland Security background check for an airport SIDA badge.
A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Airport Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience with a strong preference for seven (7) years of work experience
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to obtain Airport Security Badging Credentials

Must possess a basic knowledge of reading and interpreting design and/or construction documents (construction contract documents, construction plans, and specifications). Must be able to understand and interpret construction and master schedules.

Software/Office Equipment – proficient in/able to quickly learn computer software applications utilized to administer terms of the contract through project controls (e.g. MS Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, etc.)
Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Planning/organizing – prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans
Quality control— demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit for long periods, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk; sit, and lift or move no more than twenty (20) pounds. Responsibilities

Overall terminal and landside planning, design support, and coordination with internal and external project teams.
Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to mutually agreed expectations.
Facilitate involvement of the project’s key stakeholders at appropriate levels and times.
Support team and client’s project administrative needs.
Contribute to the development of processes and tools that facilitate consistency and quality execution across airport planning and design support projects within the portfolio of J|D’s projects.
Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements; prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
Supports change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, identify actions plans/tasks, and follows up with stakeholders to ensure success of project processes. Monitors project progress to determine risks to scope, budget, schedule, and work quality.
Provides technical services related to space programming, concessions programs,landside planning, forecasting of facility requirements, alternatives development, technical drawing development in AutoCAD and BIM environments.
Manages staff/resources to perform technical analyses to meet scopes of work and provides QA/QC of work products.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders
Liaise with governing authorities and regulatory agencies
Establish and maintain project reporting procedures
Support all facets of project close-out
