A nationally recognized architectural, engineering, and planning firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Milwaukee office. Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience; licensure preferred, not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery, budget oversight, and team leadership.
  • Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design tools; experience with project management software (such as Hive, Basecamp, Jira).
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with firm leadership to evaluate project requirements and negotiate owner-architect agreements, including fees and schedules.
  • Lead, mentor, and direct project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of client satisfaction.
  • Oversee project scope, work plans, profitability, schedules, and budgets; ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Negotiate critical project issues with clients, consultants, and external partners.
  • Guide the preparation and quality control of construction documents, providing coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, work hours, and completion status, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Manage project documentation and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance; coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
  • Lead contractor bid reviews and collaborate with leadership on award recommendations.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and maintain open communication with office management and project teams; assist with client billing processes.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development and participation in client interviews as needed.
