About The Position

As a key member of the R&D team, the Project Manager will successfully manage projects of various scope and aid in the implementation of project management best practices across Laborie. This position is based at our Minnetonka MN location. The role involves identifying project goals, objectives, and scope, creating project plans, communicating with project teams and stakeholders, managing risks and issues, monitoring budget and progress to ensure projects stay on track. The Project Manager will also ensure project adherence to Laborie Program Management Organization & Quality Management System (QMS), lead cross-functional projects from inception to manufacturing transfer through stable production (approximately 3 months post launch), and implement Project Management best practices and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • B.S. in engineering or STEM (chemistry, physics, etc.)
  • 3-5 years in R&D and product/process development
  • 2-5 years of project/program management experience
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects with cross-functional multidisciplinary teams within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with aptitude to lead without direct authority

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in catheters and systems/capital based medical devices
  • Structure problem solving methodology certifications – DMAIC, green belt, black belt, etc.
  • Experience across multiple types of medical devices – consumable/catheters, capital systems, and class III

Responsibilities

  • Identify the project’s goals, objectives, and scope and creates a project plan that integrates the deliverables, work breakdown, structure inputs and outputs, tasks, timelines and resources required.
  • Communicate with project team and stakeholders, manages risks and issues, and monitors the budget and progress to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Ensure project adherence to Laborie Program Management Organization & Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead cross-functional projects from inception to manufacturing transfer through stable production (~3 months post launch)
  • Implement Project Management best practices and process improvement initiatives
