About The Position

Our Partners in the tank design and manufacturing industry are looking for a skill Project Manager for their USA operation. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing tank construction and coating projects across the United States. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance to quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of API 650, AWWA D100/D103, SSPC, and OSHA standards
  • Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welded steel tanks, bolted tanks, or coatings projects preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple tank construction, refurbishment, or coating projects from contract award to final handover
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and drawings
  • Coordinate mobilization, site activities, and demobilization
  • Act as primary liaison with clients, consultants, and inspectors
  • Conduct progress meetings and provide regular status reports
  • Manage client expectations and address issues proactively
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow
  • Manage change orders, variations, and claims
  • Approve invoices, track expenditures, and support project billing
  • Enforce safety policies and OSHA requirements
  • Ensure site-specific safety plans are implemented and followed
  • Promote a strong safety culture and conduct regular site audits
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and industry codes (API, AWWA, SSPC, etc.)
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation
  • Resolve quality issues and non-conformances
  • Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and reports
  • Prepare close-out documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals
